Discovery
- Location-based matching — Haven uses your GPS location to show you HIV+, HSV+, and HPV+ singles near you. Your exact address is never shown to anyone.
- Rich filters — filter by gender, age range, health status, sexual orientation, country, and maximum distance.
- Verified profiles — blue-tick verification confirms a real person behind every profile.
- Gold and Platinum badges — premium members are visually distinguished.
Matching
- Date or friend — send a dating request or a friend request. Two separate intents, two separate pools.
- Mutual matches — you only match when both people want the same kind of connection.
- Undo — accidentally swiped the wrong way? Undo your last pass.
Chat
- Private messaging — end-to-end encrypted conversations between matches. Messages are stored securely and are not indexed by search engines.
- Image messages — send photos inside chat. Images are compressed and served through a CDN.
- Reactions, replies, and edits — react with emoji, reply to specific messages, edit within 15 minutes, delete anytime.
- Read receipts and typing indicators — see when your match has read your message and when they're typing.
- Offline-first — chat history is cached locally so it loads instantly even without a connection.
Community
- HIV, HSV, and HPV group chats — three separate public chats, moderated 24/7.
- Stories — a feed of real experiences from verified community members, with comments and likes.
- Groups — premium members can create their own private groups with join costs, member roles, and moderation tools.
Privacy & Safety
- Status is private — your HIV or herpes status is never public. It's shown only to matches you've approved.
- Phone visibility controls — choose whether matches, requesters, both, or nobody can see your WhatsApp number.
- Profile hiding — hide your profile from everyone, or from specific age ranges and health statuses.
- Image locking — lock all your photos behind Premium, or lock everything after the first two.
- Anonymous reporting — report harassment, nudity, underage users, or CSAE in one tap. Reports are reviewed immediately.
- Block — block any user to instantly unmatch and remove them from your discovery feed.
